Tecside is a specialist recruitment company seeking an Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) Engineer to work with our client who is a leader in Steel production industry.
The purpose of this position is to deliver Structural, Mechanical & Piping Engineering co-ordination and mechanical work for a major Project in Port Kembla.
The duties include:
- Participate in the hands on resolution of engineering issues
- Actively participate in HSE document reviews & workshops
- Develop and maintain a Design Management Plan
- Application and knowledge of Australian/International Standards related to Structural, Mechanical and Piping Systems
- Work within a team of experts to ensure engineering completion of an assigned package of work.
The successful candidate will have:
- Mechanical Engineering qualification
- 5+ years of experience managing the engineering aspects of capital projects in heavy industry
- Experience in the successful delivery of major capital project(s) as a project team member
- Knowledge of engineering packages
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage detail across broad project aspects and a variety of engineering disciplines.
