Our company, based in Canning Vale, is a multi-discipline design & construct team, that is seeing continual growth in our Mining and Defence projects. Due to continuous growth, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Electrical Supervisor to join us in delivering innovative solutions and high-quality services to our clients.
The Role:
Site based role (FIFO) opportunity.
As the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, and supporting various project managers and project engineers within our organization with tracking of project deliverables.
You will oversee a team, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations, resolving operational or technical problems to ensure all works are completed in the best possible timeframe maintaining the highest levels of quality without compromising safety.
Your leadership and technical expertise will be crucial in maintaining our reputation for excellence and delivering exceptional results to our clients, demonstrating commitment to teamwork and promoting a positive safety culture, leading by example at all times.
Duties and Skills will include (but not limited to);
- Plan and schedule projects, estimate time and materials and maintain records, files and prepare reports where necessary.
- Plan and supervise the work of electricians
- Maintain records on electrical jobs and assign to appropriate personnel
- Assist in coordinating job assignments with other trades e.g. plumbing, carpenters etc.
- Advise project manager of any technical problems concerned with installation, modification and repair of electrical assignments
- Ensure adequate inventory, purchase suppliers as required while meeting budget requirements
- Liaise with clients, ensuring EIG is meeting project outcomes
- Sign off on workplace risk assessments (JHA’s SWMS etc.)
- Adhere to safety regulations
- Ensure all EIG personnel have the required PPE for all tasks
- Inspect electricians work to ensure compliance with standard procedures, electrical assignments and plans.
- Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example at all times
- Assist Electricians by working alongside them on the tools as required.
You will need:
- Experience with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
- Understanding of electrical construction and maintenance
- Proven ability to manage project effectively and meet deadlines
- Australian A Grade Electrical Licence
- Construction “White” Card
- Senior First Aid with CPR
- Valid C class driver’s license (HR/MR highly desirable)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High level problem solving ability
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs
