About the Role:
Join Alcoa's Huntly mine team as an Electrical NPI Supervisor, overseeing critical non-process infrastructure maintenance. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance while maintaining essential operations.
The Electrical NPI Supervisor reports to the Electrical, Instrumentation, and Water Superintendent, with a functional link to the Senior Mining Electrical Engineer. Regular interaction is required with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
Managing a multi-disciplined maintenance crew,you will oversee critical infrastructure, including ore handling systems, power distribution, and water management, providing technical support and leadership to ensure equipment integrity and reliability.
This role also requires close collaboration with environmental and hygiene teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities includes:
Safety and Compliance: Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with statutory and company policies, fostering a culture of safety within the team.
Back-to-Back Support: Provide support for the Water Supervisor, ensuring compliance with extraction licenses, budget forecasts, and environmental regulations.
Maintenance Management: Supervise all maintenance activities on non-process assets, establishing schedules and minimizing downtime.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all maintenance work meets high-quality standards and develop the team's technical competence.
Personnel Management: Provide supervision, support, and training to maintenance personnel, fostering their professional development.
Cost Management: Identify and implement cost-saving measures while meeting budget objectives.
Infrastructure Operation: Directly manage the safe and reliable operation of electrical and water infrastructure, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Audit and Performance Reviews: Actively participate in audits and performance reviews to maintain internal benchmarks.

What you can bring to the role:
Trade qualifications in Electrical with a current 'A' Grade Electrical license.
Strong familiarity with high voltage distribution systems and operating techniques.
Background of working in an Electrical Supervisor position within maintenance management.
HV Switching experience would be highly desirable.
