We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Qualified Electrician.
Located in Wellcamp, just outside of Toowoomba, means this position will see you be home every night, working predominately Monday-Friday and receiving a competitive flat hourly rate in a diverse role close to home.
About Us
Wellcamp Business Park is a self-sustaining commercial centre for a diverse and integrated business park supporting industries such as aviation, transport, manufacturing, commodity processing and warehousing and distribution.
The Business Park is home to Wellcamp Airport, Corporate Offices and Civil Construction sites, whilst servicing numerous external company facilities within the precinct.
About You
You will be a motivated Electrical tradesperson with exposure to HV maintenance, dependable fault finding and testing ability and possess a strong work ethic with an eye for detail. You will possess a sound knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards, display safe work practices and have a strong desire to learn and grow.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Work closely with the Electrical Supervisor to deliver day to day operations within Wellcamp Business Park.
- Co-ordinate with other trades and subcontractors to achieve desired project outcomes.
- opportunities to lead, mentor and oversee other electrical tradesmen and apprentices.
- Procure material and equipment for electrical works.
- Monitor electrical material stock levels.
- Subcontractor management.
- Inspect, maintain and service the electrical infrastructure and power network across Wellcamp Business Park including:
- Wellcamp Airport general light & power, emergency lighting, generators, baggage handling conveyors, screening equipment, airfield lighting, fuel farm, lighting control and UPS systems.
- 33kv / 11kv substation, RMU’s and Padmount subs.
- Queensland Regional Accommodation Centre.
- Concrete batch plants.
- Pyrocal (Biochar production plant).
- Sewerage treatment plant.
- Street lighting.
- Water reservoir.
- All Wagner Corporation site offices and workshops.
Skills and experience
- Hold a current QLD Electrical Mechanic Licence.
- Trade qualified electrician with a minimum Cert III in Electrotechnology.
- Current Drivers Licence.
- Construction White card.
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised while maintaining a safe work area.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work within a fast paced environment.
