About the Role
AMS has an exciting full-time opportunity for an Electrician to join our projects team on a 2/1 roster in regional and remote Australia, with the point of hire being Perth. Our Electrical team provides a specialist consultancy capability addressing the compliance of airfield lighting systems through inspections and reporting, installation, and maintenance.
AMS is the leader in Australia for solar powered airfield lighting systems and provides purpose solutions for our clients encompassing solar, hybrid and traditional AC wired equipment. The successful candidate will be able to diversify their skillset with training in new technological advancements in solar powered lighting solutions and be provided opportunities to engage in technical inspections and reporting.
Regular Responsibilities
- With training provide airfield lighting consultancy/advice to aerodrome operators and internally within AMS
- Installation, commissioning and fault finding of airfield lighting systems
- Review of technical reporting
- Assist with development of safety documentation e.g. SWMS
- Provide support to the Electrical team in the management and coordination of works, planning deliverables and resourcing of project works
Essential Criteria
- Australian A grade Electrical fitter/Mechanic licence
- 5 years’ experience trades experience in a broad field of Electrical systems
- Good fault finding capability
- Able to come up with solutions to the task at hand with minimal direct supervision
- Able to manage and schedule workload to account for changing priorities
- Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Valid Australian Manual Driver’s License
