About the Role
This an excellent opportunity to become part of the breadsolutions team to provide front-line maintenance for all plant and equipment.
We currently have a Day shift role available at our Dandenong South site with the following roster:
Dandenong - 12-hr Day Shift A: | 6:00 am - 6:00 pm | 7-day p/fortnight
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday
The key responsibilities of the position are as follows:
- Providing breakdown, preventative and reactive maintenance to plant and equipment
- Diagnosis and repair of machinery and plant promptly
- Assist with the installation and relocation of associated equipment or machinery in the plant
- Rectify machinery breakdowns on time
- Supporting Production to achieve their output targets by ensuring there are no issues with plant and equipment
- Achieving and improving on targets for plant uptime through planned preventative maintenance
- Periodically inspect systems and recommend appropriate fixes or replacement strategies to avoid costly breakdowns.
About You
As this is a hands-on role in a fast-growing FMCG manufacturing business, you will be a self-starter with excellent levels of drive, initiative and enthusiasm with the ability to quickly grasp the process flow of the maintenance and production departments and plant machinery.
In addition, you will have the following:

- Trade Qualifications and licences are a must
- Experience with plant shutdowns, breakdowns and maintenance within a continuously operating manufacturing facility
- Strong knowledge of various maintenance methods and the ability to investigate problems, determine and implement root cause corrections
- Five years of previous experience as an Electrical Tradesperson in a manufacturing facility
- PLC & HMI Experience (Desirable)
- Attention to detail
- Good analytical skills and decision-making ability
- Ability to communicate across all levels of the business
