Ideal Candidate will have:
- Electrical licence essential
- Qualifications in Electrical and Instrumentation
- Hazardous area installation training and working knowledge of electrical equipment within hazardous areas (AS/NZS60079).
- Prior industry experience and familiarity with control systems, PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and Ex equipment are highly advantageous.
- Mining sector experience preferred but not essential.
- Schematics and manual reading

This family-owned business has been successfully working in the Engineering sector for 30+ years. They service a customer base that spans several key industries – Mining, Aluminium, Oil & Gas, Education etc.
Their primary area of expertise is within Gas Monitoring, Detection, Analysis and Emissions Monitoring.
A recent surge in project wins sees them entering a growth phase that requires an increase in headcount. They have 2 very successful revenue streams built around commissioning work and flowing on from that, maintenance work.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Perform in-house and on-site maintenance of gas analysis and detection systems.
- Diagnose and repair gas and alcohol detection instruments.
- Coordinate and plan scheduled on-site servicing operations.
- Contribute to the fabrication, commissioning, and setup of gas analysis systems, encompassing tasks such as creating sample conditioning setups, configuring PLC panels, and managing instrumentation wiring.
- Adhere to industry standards including ISO9001, AS/NZS60079, and AS/NZS80079.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through on-site client interactions.
- Provide valuable input for product and process improvements.
- Onsite and inhouse service of gas and alcohol instrumentation as per prescribed quality and legislative requirements.
- Routine maintenance as outlined in set service procedures and via training provided.
- Call-out repair requests – preform diagnostic/troubleshooting/fault-finding activities as per outlined processes.
- Perform onsite repairs of faults diagnosed/reported.
- Complete Service Reports, SWMS, JSA as required.
Inhouse requirements:
- Routine maintenance as outlined in set service procedures and via training provided.
- Preform diagnostic/troubleshooting/fault-finding activities as per outlined processes.
- Fabrication and Commissioning of Gas Analysis Systems as per demonstrated process and following set procedures.
- Maintain service data on service PC including site requirements and service details.
