Job Summary:
Are you passionate about electronics and providing top-notch Electronic Equipment and systems support? We have two positions available on our team in the heart of Sutherland Shire. As a key member of our Operations Department, you'll be instrumental in installing, maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting Electronic Equipment and systems used within the organisation. These roles are to ensure that Electronic Equipment operates efficiently and safety and that any technical issues are promptly resolved to minimise downtime.
Responsibilities:
Installation and Assembly:
Install, set up, and assemble electronic components and equipment based on technical drawings, blueprints, or instructions.
Connect and integrate electronic systems, ensuring they function as designed.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine maintenance on Electronic Equipment to prevent malfunctions and maintain optimal performance.
Diagnose technical issues, conduct repairs, and replace faulty components as needed.
Collaborate with external vendors or manufacturers for specialized repairs when required.
Testing and Quality Control:
Conduct tests and inspections on Electronic Equipment to verify functionality and performance.
Ensure that equipment meets quality standards and complies with regulations.
Technical Troubleshooting:
Identify and diagnose technical issues, using diagnostic tools and equipment as necessary.
Develop effective troubleshooting strategies to resolve Electronic Equipment problems quickly and efficiently.
Documentation and Records:
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Generate reports and documentation related to technical activities and incidents.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory of electronic components and spare parts.
Assist in the procurement of materials and components, ensuring stock availability.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Report safety hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with the technical services team, including engineers, technicians, and support staff.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and challenges.
Qualifications:
Relevant technical certification or degree.
Proven experience in electronic support and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of electronic systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Commitment to staying updated on industry trends and technologies.
