Electronic Equipment Trades Worker
H3C Plus Provide Electronic Security Solutions for all Facility, Business and Corporate environments. We currently have a position available for an Electronic Equipment Trades Worker.
As a key member of the Projects Team, the Electronic Equipment Trades Worker - Commissioning Specialist will play a crucial role in the commissioning of complex integrated security systems for key clients. The position involves working closely with Business Development Managers, Project Support Team members, Installation/Service Technicians, Project Managers, and Sub-contractors. The role requires leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration to ensure successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
1. Commissioning of Integrated Security Solutions:
• Lead the commissioning of complex integrated security solutions, including Intruder Detection, Access Control, Intercom, and Video Surveillance systems for key clients.
• Configure and implement head-end systems for core product offerings.
2. Functional Testing and Staging:
• Assist in the staging of complex integrated systems to prove functional requirements.
• Conduct various forms of Acceptance Testing for clients, including Factory (FAT), Site (SAT), and Operational (OAT) testing.
3. Client Interaction:
• Conduct Client/Consultant witness testing to validate system functionality.
• Provide technical training to customers and colleagues.
4. Technical Leadership:
• Provide leadership and assistance to resolve complex technical problems within the team.
• Collaborate with the Project Support Team in the design phase of security projects.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
• Ensure appropriate documentation, client information, and manuals are maintained to corporate standards.
• Provide detailed written reports on site activities when required.
6. Communication and Collaboration:
• Collaborate with supplier technical support teams to resolve specific site issues.
• Establish effective working relationships with management, employees, employee representatives, and clients.
7. General Responsibilities:
• Champion a culture of performance within the organization.
• Adhere to Quality, WH&S & Environmental requirements.
• Identify opportunities for service contracts or follow-on sales.
• Protect H3C Plus Liabilities and Responsibilities.
• Maintain a safe and harmonious workplace.
Qualifications: Suitable certification or relevant experience.
Experience:
• At least two years of experience in a role with similar responsibilities in a similar environment.
Demonstrated ability leading a technical work team.
• Active participation in staying abreast of current industry trends and technologies.
• Proficient in computer software systems (SimPro/Word/Excel/Outlook).
• In-depth knowledge of security equipment, CCTV, and access control.
• Experience in installing, repairing, designing, and testing electronic security systems.
Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, especially in written business and technical report writing.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead a technical work team.
• Ability to climb ladders and work in high and low locations to reach remote areas.
• Current valid Security Licence, Driver’s Licence, valid WH&S (White) card and valid Cablers Licence.
