DRD Group are seeking an Electronic Technician for a Temp to Perm opportunity with our client based at RAAF Edinburgh base, Adelaide.
About the role
As an Electronic Technician, you will tasked with performing all trade tasks related with the maintenance and repair of electronic devices in military vehicles, plants and equipment. You will also be diagnosing and repairing faults. A small amount of travel will be required at the discretion of the client.
The role is Mon - Fri, 38 hrs a week.
About You
Mandatory - Qualifications
● Recognised Trade Certificate III of proficiency
(Electro-technology) Communication or in a
similar electronics discipline.
● National Police Check required in order to qualify
for workplace access / ID card.
● Eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance
● Must be an Australian Citizen
● Possess a current Australian State or Territory
open driver’s licence for C (manual).
Mandatory - Experience & Skills:
● Demonstrated ability to inspect, diagnose, repair
and maintain radios, optical instruments,
navigational aids, laser range finding equipment,
medical and dental equipment, electro-optical/
electro-hydraulic/ electro-mechanical systems,
radar systems, electronic vehicle control systems
and electronic surveillance and detection systems
● Possess equivalent qualification to safely operate
and maintain Automated Test Equipment
● Demonstrated ability and experience to maintain
and repair and calibrate (i.e. gauges, binoculars,
compasses).
Optional
● Supplementary ADF military skills / licences are
required for some specific platforms and fleets
(candidates with these are highly desirable)
● ADF DPN/DRN and MILIS maintenance profiles
highly desirable
