The Role
Due to continued success within the organisation we are currently seeking a Surface Electronic Initiation Technician to provide support and training to our regional sites in relation to the introduction and use of Electronic Initiation Systems.
Reporting to the Electronic Lead this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced shotfirer, supervisor or mining engineer/professional to take their skills to the next level. This role will see you working within the surface and underground footprint.

About you
You're the master of all things explosive, with a passion for sharing your knowledge and making learning as fun as a barrel of TNT! 💥🧨 Your stellar interpersonal skills and blasting expertise will make you a key player at our customer sites, where you'll be leading demonstrations and training sessions to boost efficiency and results.
You will be responsible for managing all operational aspects of electronic detonator conversions and trials at allocated sites and engaging appropriate resources to assist where required. Your excellent interpersonal attributes and sound knowledge of blasting will enable you to become a key link at our customer sites undertaking demonstrations and training, to improve efficiencies and bottom-line results for our customers in converting their blasting.
You will ideally achieve this with
- Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills (including a Cert IV in Training & Assessment)
- Experience with DigiShot®Plus.4G is highly regarded.
- Shotfirers License
- Dangerous Goods Security Card
- National Police Clearance
- Extensive blasting-related experience (experience with electronic initiation systems would be ideal)
- Demonstrated understanding of drill & blast technology
- Ability to undertake site based rostered travel to regional Dyno Nobel sites
