About the role
We are thrilled to announce that we are looking for Senior Blasting - Technicians to join our Underground Technical Services Team, supporting customers in WA. The role will be based in Kalgoorlie working 5 days on 2 days off roster.
This role's focus is to provide drill and blast design support, on-bench training of Orica products, deliver advanced technical projects, and ensure product stewardship for our mining and quarry customers.

What you will be doing
- Blasting Projects: Assist team on execution of blasting-related projects on our customer sites by using Orica's full suite of advanced and cutting-edged blasting systems and technologies;
- Blasting Product Stewardship: Providing advanced-level blasting expertise and training on Orica's products to our customer teams;
- Working Together: Forming and nurturing sustainable relationships with our customers technical and operational teams;
- Blasting Solutions and Project Execution: Working alongside our customer blasting teams to understand blasting problems, and applying the correct blasting advice and assistance to deliver outstanding results;
- Continual Learning and Development: Attending blasting training sessions, seminars, and masterclasses with Orica's global Technical Services communities to hone your own skills and expertise.
What you bring
- Experience as a underground operator, shotfirers, experience charge up , or MCU or Hypercharge operator;
- TAE cert IV highly regarded but not essential.
- Experience in using Electronic Blasting systems.
