Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Electronic Engineering or related fields
- At least 2 Years of work experience
Tasks & responsibilities
- Support Build to print, customer design integration to REDARC standards.
- Undertake design activities on the development of new products including battery chargers, power supplies, inverters, DC/DC voltage converters and customer electronic products)
- Redesign existing products as required including PCB Updates
- Perform complex fault finding and effect repairs
- Generation of schematics and PCB CAD files
- Generation of bills of materials (BOMs)
- Support part replacement/obsolescence management
- Assist with the development of supply chains with Procurement to source components
- Creation of prototypes
- Creation of test specifications and undertake hardware testing
- Continuously improve the design process and utilise the company’s Stage gate methodology to deliver in collaboration with Project Management and Engineering
- Ensure design of products maximises commonality through modular construction and are where practical optimised for cost effective manufacture
- Participate in specific projects identified by the Engineering Manager or Team Leader. Participate in product and process improvement teams as required
