About the Role
Robway have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our growing company to develop and create new crane safety products.
The role is developing new systems for all types of cranes with a high level of integration between man, machine, software, electronics, controls and remote monitoring. You will be part of a dedicated and focused team with a strong desire to innovate. We are looking for a specialist and team player who is willing to contribute knowledge and align to Robway values of Integrity, Excellence, Innovation and Respect.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work with a professional team to manage the products from creation through the manufacturing and testing life cycle to the end client product.
About you
- Bachelor's (or higher) Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
- Proficient in embedded systems (both hardware and software / firmware) development using 32-bit ARM Cortex-based microcontrollers.
- Proficient in Altium Designer: schematic capture, mixed circuit design and PCB layout (multiple layers).
- Experience with CAN (2.0B and J1939) bus communication.
- Experience with other communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, RS-485 etc.
- Expertise in embedded software / firmware development; Solid skills in embedded C programming.
- Ability to design harness / wiring.
- Experience with EMC design.
- Maintenance and creation of tools, utilities, scripting, and documentation.
- Understanding of mathematical modelling of machines.
- System engineering within functional safety guidelines.
- Must be Australian citizen or permanent resident
