The Position
Reporting into the Project Lead – Electronics, you will be working as part of the API Electronics team and will be responsible for installing, commissioning and maintaining a wide range of access control, CCTV and alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Installs, services, repairs, program and commission security equipment including CCTV, Access Control and electronic security devices
- Provide technical support, customer demonstrations and training
- Install, configure and maintain network equipment.
- Complete comprehensive and accurate service reports detailing the repairs completed, parts used and time onsite
- Actively identify possible sales opportunities through information obtained from clients on site.
- Strong commitment towards safe work practices
- Professionally liaise with customers and colleagues, ensuring service expectations are met
- Maintain and manage your allocated service vehicle, parts and tools
- Be in rotation for on-call services
The ideal candidate will have:
- Integriti Certification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in installation and commissioning
- Ability to program/commission security systems such as Integriti/Concept/TECOM/ Genetec, Hikvision, Milestone
- Extensive knowledge in IP ICT networking
- Sound skills in electronic data and documentation management
- Strong ability to perform cabling, fit off (including panels) and commissioning of electronic security systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently unsupervised and in a team environment
- Ability to travel interstate for works as required
- Australian Driver’s License (mandatory)
- Current Private Individual Security License (mandatory)
- Valid Construction Card (White Card) (mandatory)
- Cabling Licence (desired but not mandatory)
- Salto knowledge (desired but not mandatory)
- Concept knowledge (desired but not mandatory)
