AddressReporting to the Health and Safety Manager, you will provide emergency management and medical treatment advice and support to Laverton Operations.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity, working 8 days on, 6 days off roster. The role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth WA, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora and Laverton.
The opportunity
- Ensure emergency preparedness for the operation.
- Provide emergency and non-emergency assistance and medical care as required to the operation.
- Provide first response for emergency/incident management.
- Maintain and undertake regular maintenance and servicing of safety/ emergency response equipment.
- Participate in risk assessments of site work activities and conditions.
- Monitor the completion of recommendations and actions from incident investigations, inspections and audits.
- Support and assist in the management of return-to-work programs needed by the workforce.
- Conduct regular AOD (Alcohol and Other Drugs) screening on site to ensure fitness for work protocols are adhered to.
- Communicate changes to systems, processes and procedures.

- Demonstrated experience in a similar position within the mining industry, including underground operations
- Certificate IV: Health Care, Diploma Paramedical Science (or higher)
- Certificate IV: Training and Assessment
- Certificate III: Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
- Drug & Alcohol – Authorised Tester
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent understanding of Mines Safety & Inspection Legislation
