Local Jobs Program Support Officer
Worklinks QLD LTD is contracted by the Commonwealth Government to provide employment facilitator and Support Officer services through the Local Jobs Program for Somerset Employment Region from 2021-2025 and we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Program Support Officer to join our team.

About the Role:
The Local Jobs Program supports employment growth and assists the up-skilling of jobseekers into jobs by bringing together key local stakeholders including employers, employment services providers, higher education, and training organisations to work collaboratively to design projects that skill people to meet employer needs.
The Program Support Officer is a dedicated full-time role to support our Local Jobs Program Employment Facilitator
The Program Support Officer will assist with the wider community’s engagement with the Local Jobs Program:
- supporting Employment Service Providers to connect with local employment and training opportunities
- work with employers to improve engagement with government-funded programs
- maintain and update the Local Jobs Plan program plan
- analyse labour market data and information
- engage and manage stakeholder relationships
- assist partners with implementing program activities
- collate and draft monthly reports to the department.
The Support Officer will provide administrative support to the Local Jobs Program Facilitator. Including:
- preparing meeting papers, including agenda and minutes
- booking meetings, venues, arranging catering etc.
- maintaining an issues, actions and decisions register
- maintaining a published membership list
- undertaking ad hoc reporting as required by the department.
You will use your relationship-building skills and networks to create and support the Local Jobs Program within the community as well as businesses that employ to support employment opportunities.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Report writing
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Research skills and Data analysis
- Experience in Excel, and various social media and online platforms
- Marketing skills including producing flyers and promotional material
- Highly developed networking skills
- Excellent administration skills
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
- Qualifications in Business, Marketing, Employment services desirable but not mandatory for a person with the right skills and experience.
