A Watt Utilities Energy Policy Analyst has the technical capability, knowledge and attention to detail, to professionally undertake all the Primary Responsibilities and Duties listed below. Our Energy Policy Analyst needs to not only be technically proficient, but shall also be approachable and helpful. The person in this role is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the level of customer service they deliver, consistently matches that required by the internal and external customers and stakeholders of Watt Utilities.
Duties and responsibilities of this full time role will include, but not limited to :
· Reviewing existing policy and legislation regarding energy transmission and
procurement
· Researching economic trends
· Recommending policy changes to clients related to their energy needs
· Reviewing proposals to ensure compliance with government policy and legislation
· Providing advice on regulatory matters
· Undertaking tariff comparisons and other analytics to assist the sales team
· Bill validations including pursuing disputes with the energy retailers and / or the
metering companies
· Drafting and then finalising required proposals as part of the tender process
· Drafting and then finalising required customer reports
Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification; or,
5 years relevant experience.
