About the opportunity
As the Engagement Lead, you will support the development, planning, and implementation of community and stakeholder engagement for our Major Projects portfolio.
You'll be involved in exciting and large scale projects that will have complex community and stakeholder issues that you can use your expertise to resolve. It's certainly a challenging, but very rewarding role.
The role is based primarily at our Wagga Wagga depot with frequent travel to our various project sites. It is preferred you are located near Wagga Wagga however we are open to receiving applications from candidates who live in the Sydney or Newcastle area that are comfortable travelling.
About you
Your experience in community and stakeholder engagement will enable you to provide specialist and technical support, direction, and advice. Your strong interpersonal skills will also allow you to achieve the best outcomes for all parties involved (the project, the public, contractors and other stakeholders). You will also have:
- Experience working in large infrastructure and construction projects
- The ability to interpret and understand technical information and terminology
- Experience working on high profile and sensitive community issues
- Skills in designing and implementing contemporary tactical communications and engagement strategies and plans
- An IAP2 foundations certification, an understanding of The Energy Charter - Landowner & Community Better Practice Engagement Guide and hold a valid construction white card and NSW driver licence, or willingness to obtain.
