Engagement Officer

Planning and executing communication and engagement activities for specific projects, including coordinating project tasks and overseeing deliverables. Additionally, the role involves building and maintaining relationships internally and externally, negotiating with stakeholder groups, and assisting in the development and implementation of communication strategies aligned with organisational objectives.

Client Details

As the Engangement Officer you will work in the public sector that looks over cultivation of crops, livestock, and aquatic resources, as well as the management of fishing activities and marine resources. It involves activities such as farming, animal husbandry, aquaculture, and fisheries management aimed at sustaining food production, economic growth, and environmental conservation within the agricultural and maritime industries.

• Plan and execute activities supporting communication and engagement strategy for specific projects
• Independently coordinate project activities and oversee project deliverables
• Build, maintain, and enhance relationships and networks internally and externally
• Enable implementation of communication and engagement deliverables
• Effectively plan events that engage the target audience
• Manage potential conflicts through clear communication
• Apply communication and engagement techniques effectively
• Utilise audience analytics for stakeholder mapping
• Negotiate and communicate with designated stakeholder groups
• Represent the program area within departmental guidelines
• Direct email marketing
• Schedule and map-out social media
• Develop website content

Profile

• A qualification or relevant experience in stakeholder engagement and communication, would be well regarded.
• An understanding of biosecurity response activities and/or experience in applying your capabilities in a response environment will be highly regarded.
