My Pathway and Mokwiri Enterprises in conjunction with Kuku’nathi Services are seeking a motivated Full Time Engagement Officer to join the team in Napranum.
This position is based in Napranum it isn't a fly in fly out position
About the role:
The role of an Engagement Officer is to effectively and efficiently lead Case Management and In Work Support through high-quality liaison with community leaders, Government and NGO’s organisations and employers. The Engagement officer strives to achieve customers goals, overcome barriers, increase skills, identify training needs, and mentor and support customers to assist their transition from income support to employment sustainability.
The Engagement Officer is responsible for identifying suitable employment-based projects (activities) that deliver holistic business outcomes for the My Pathway group of entities. In addition, the Engagement Officer assists in driving business growth for the group by effectively promoting and marketing all parts of the business and My Pathway models, services and products to all stakeholders ensuring ‘many outcomes from one transaction’.
What you will need to be considered:
Essential:
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), consultation, negotiation and coaching skills.
- Exceptional understanding of the Community Development Program and other labour market programmes.
- Current and relevant experience with working with Australian Indigenous communities and peoples.
- Excellent knowledge of Indigenous culture & ethics with the ability to communicate and engage Indigenous communities effectively
- Proven success in Case Management, Consultation and Post Placement Support
- Highly developed problem solving, research, conceptual skills with the ability to develop practical and forward-thinking operational plans and solutions.
- Proven ability to develop community relationships to generate new business and or improve productivity and efficiency.
- Ability to develop practical and forward-thinking solutions to problems arising in the course of implementing change.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within the Cook Region team to achieve the desired outcomes of the group’s entity.
- A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance.
- Driver’s Licence and relevant Child Suitability Card or ability to get one.
Desired:
- Technology literate including sound skills in using Windows based software, Internet, Email.
- Significant understanding of the complexity and nuances of working with industry and government departments.
- Sound understanding and experience in Australian Indigenous protocols, practices and affairs.
- Skills and/or qualifications in Employment Services, Community Services and/or Administration.
