About the Opportunity
We have an exciting career opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer service focused individual. Our Engagement team is a key point of contact for Castle’s DES & NDIS participants and Castle team members. The Engagement Support Officer provides an exceptional customer service experience to internal and external stakeholders, including the participants who come to Castle for our support.
The Engagement Support Officer is an exciting and varied role with duties including:
- Answering participant enquiries with clear and empathetic communication
- Assessing participant needs and goals to efficiently direct the participant’s enquiry
- Contributing to develop innovative solutions to encourage community inclusion and opportunities for participants
- Maintaining crucial data for business development and operational marketing strategies
- Identifying and working to pursue business growth opportunities
- Play a key role in Castle’s community engagement experiences
This is a full-time position based at our Mayfield office with the flexibility to work from other Castle sites.
The Salary for this role is paid based on an award rate at $32.21p/h with room to progress to the higher pay points.

Ideally, to be successful you will need

- Equivalent to VET Certificate III in relevant studies, and/or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- A practical knowledge of available NDIS and DES supports and services, experience in providing relevant practical and factual information to key stakeholders, or willingness to learn
- Commitment to supporting people with a disability in our community to maximise their potential
- Demonstrated quality customer service ability to meaningfully support and engage participants and their networks to identify needs and align them to Castle service offerings
- A positive, resilient and committed approach to achieving outcomes for people with a disability
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships and engaging with key stakeholders to support goal progression and encourage further independence
- Demonstrated effective listening skills, ability to adapt communication style to meet participant needs and ability to share and record information in a factual, appropriate and respectful manner
Essential Criteria:
- NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence
