- Monitor and analyze BHP's locomotive fleet performance, reliability and costs to define the department priorities;
- Identify potential risks to the asset and the business;
- Develop, optimise and govern maintenance strategies based on RCM principles;
- Defect elimination through the application of best practice problem solving tools and techniques (RCA, 5 Whys etc);
- Provide technical support and recommendations based on findings from data analysis, testing and engagement with internal and external stakeholders including OEM, SMEs and maintainers.
About YouYou will have a logical and analytical mind-set with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other stakeholders in order to deliver outcomes and achieve organizational objectives.
You will have:- Tertiary/ Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
- Experience in rail, rolling stock and/or reliability engineering will be beneficial;
- Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques advantageous;
- Understanding of reliability and asset management principles will be beneficial;
- Proficiency in 1SAP maintenance components preferable;
- Ability to influence, engage with & communicate effectively across multiple levels, business units, functional areas and external stakeholders;
- A high commitment to safety, quality, attention to detail and procedures.
