To support the growth within our business and help take our business to the next level, we have the following position available:
- 1 x First Year metal fabrication Apprentice (Bendigo Based).
Your New Role as a First Year Metal Fabrication Apprentice:
- Gaining skills across a variety of areas including welding, boilermaking, Sheetmetal and fabrication.
- You will be involved in a number of projects in the workshop and on various sites.
- As an apprentice, you will spend a minimum 1-2 months in the workshop learning until going out on site.
- The majority of the work will be cutting and measuring sheet metal, aluminium and stainless steel, operation of fabrication machines, welding, general assistance to the tradesmen and maintaining a clean work environment.
What you will need to succeed.
· Minimum of Year 10 education, while completion of Year 12 would be viewed favourably.
· Previous or current work experience (both paid and/or un-paid) in an Engineering Fabrication or similar environment showing an aptitude for similar type of work.
· Good communication skills.
· Willingness to work as a team member.
· Willingness to accept direction.
· Willingness to work outside set roster when required.
· Willingness to undertake training as required.
· A driver’s licence will be desirable.
· But most of all we are looking for candidates that have the passion to complete a 4 year apprenticeship.
