About Perth Racing

We are the premier thoroughbred racing club in Western Australia, operating both Ascot and Belmont Park Racecourses with an iconic history of hosting thoroughbred racing in WA for over 160 years. Perth Racing, a multi-faceted racing, entertainment and event business, stages approximately 100 race meetings per year, including outstanding carnivals.
About this Role
This role would suit someone who enjoys the variety of interacting with numerous departments and teams on a daily basis. Reporting to the Rostering Manager, you will:
- Work in a small team to roster a large seasonal casual staff pool across our Food & Beverage, Racecourse and Facilities departments
- Communicate shift times and information to staff via Humanforce system
- Respond to routine staff queries relating to availability, shift cancellations and general rostering issues
- Maintain registers of staff certificates and licences
- Process casual job applications and new employees through our online recruitment and onboarding platforms
- Help coordinate recruitment and induction days for new casual staff
- Some Saturday work required, especially between October and December during spring carnival
Skills and Experience
- Well-developed written and verbal skills with an ability to communicate across different levels of the organisation
- Strong time management skills with an aptitude to prioritise competing tasks and a resilient approach.
- A strong capacity to build rapport and provide support to employees
- Rostering experience or use of Humanforce (formerly TimeTarget) will be highly regarded
- Previous experience in general office or recruitment administration
- Well-developed Microsoft Office suite skills – specifically Word and Excel
- Fast and accurate data entry with high attention to detail
