The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Engineering Manager role is crucial in delivering technical insights, assist in strategic decision-making and drive business performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to contribute to the success and growth of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading large, multi-disciplinary teams across various locations in Newcastle
- Conduct analysis and identify areas for cost optimisation and process improvements
- Manage organisational project planning teams and implement best practice strategies to enhance outcomes and deliverables
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, recommending actions to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities
- Liaise closely with the Executive and Operations team to enhance company-wide systems, processes and procedures for the Engineering department.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 10+ years experience leading and managing diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
- Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or equivalent
- Proven experience in a similar role
- A strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Maintains and applies a broad understanding of financial management principles to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, present data across functions and to the leadership team
- Demonstrated expertise building and sustaining stakeholder relationships including experience communicating with influence, and negotiating effectively.
