AddressRKM Roller Company is a leading manufacturer of innovative engineered conveyor rollers, idlers, and structure, with in house design and site support servicing the mining resources and bulk Material Handling industries, throughout Australia and Internationally. We have a world class manufacturing facility in China and have a new manufacturing facility in Maddington, Perth. We have a broad customer base in the mining and grain handling industry.
We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Manager to manage our small team of drafting personnel and junior engineers. This is a good opportunity to be involved in multi-disciplined engineering from product design, site support and manufacturing. This role is based Maddington, Perth.
- Understanding Conveyor design to establish and verify products to relevant standards via calculations from first principles.
- Develop and Lead the Engineering department.
- Design product solutions to meet relevant standards, schedules, and manufacturing.
- Work with the factories to understand the manufacturing process and machinery operation.
- Establish factory manufacturing control documents and information from/to clients/projects
- Visit customer sites for technical site support
- Help to enhance processes and procedures within the Factory and Engineering team.
About You
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Understanding of Conveyor Design Mechanics
- Experience in Conveyor Material Handling will be highly regarded
- Problem solving skills with root cause analysis
- Manufacturing Machinery Understanding
- Travel to sites required occasionally; International travel required occasionally
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
