Currently we have an exciting and integral position available for an Engineering Superintendent based in Ingham, North Queensland. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance and capital engineering team within your designated area of responsibility at the Mill. Your primary goal is to ensure that work activities are conducted in alignment with the established schedule to support the efficient operations of our mills.
- Responsibilities of this role will include:
Assisting the Reliability teams to develop medium to long term plans and procedures to optimise the overall efficiency and viability of the business.
Implementing maintenance and capital execution activities
Ensuring work priorities are established, and the maintenance effort is applied to the correct plant items to ensure the best operational outcome.
Forecasting corrective maintenance and assist with the scheduling of this work to reduce impact on the factory or production.
Continually review work execution schedules with the site scheduler to ensure effective and efficient completion of works.
Ensuring completed work packs contain quality feedback from the work teams (BOM changes, Measurements, and other relevant data) to assist future with planning.
Ensuring compliance with reliability processes, work management practices, procedures and technical standards related to continuous improvement.
Assisting in planning, developing and implementing maintenance and capital budget proposals to cost and performance criteria.
Effectively managing the performance of your team in accordance with Wilmar's policies and procedures

- Something about you
The ideal candidate for this role should hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience, along with a minimum of 5 years in a senior technical engineering role within a heavy industrial environment. Ideally these qualifications would be coupled with previous experience within the sugar industry, proficiency in utilising SAP software and experience with capital project and maintenance management.
