Who We Are
Avia Solutions Group, the world's largest Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance (ACMI) provider, is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Skytrans, a renowned regional airline in Queensland. As part of our expansion into the Australian market, we are set to introduce jet operations, starting with the Airbus A320 family of aircraft. This will be in addition to our well established Dash 8 and Caravan operation, servicing remote and regional Queensland as well as the Torres Strait.
Who You Are
You will be a self-motivated individual with previous experience in providing administration support across a number of functions (mentioned below). The role primarily reports to the General Manager of Engineering however is also responsible for assisting our wider Engineering team. This is a diverse role suited to someone from any of the following backgrounds: engineering (of any kind), aviation, construction admin/commercial projects or similar. However, we are open to considering strong administrative candidates from any industry or background.
+ ideally the role is to commence as soon as possible
+ 9 day fortnight is an option
About the role
Based at our Head Office at Cairns Airport, the role will typically see you:
• Maintain licenses & uniform register
• Collate engineer timesheets and leave forms for Payroll
• Assist Department with pays/ travel costs/ cost claims
• Assist department with staff travel requests
• General administrative purchasing
• Assist with revision of Technical Manuals
• Carries out other special projects / tasks assigned by direct manager
• Assist HR in relation to recruitment processes for engineering
• Take minutes and update action registers
• Purchasing functions and associated records keeping
Selection Criteria:
• Previous experience in an administrative role
• High level of verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in Tech Records, Maintenance Planning (desirable), or any of the industries mentioned above
• Understanding of aviation computer system, Aerotrac or similar (desirable)
• The ability to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
You must be eligible to live and work in Australia as either a citizen or hold the appropriate visa
