Join our dynamic team as an Enterprise Architect, where you'll play a pivotal role in defining Enterprise Architectures and collaborating to form the group Enterprise Architecture. As a key member of the Bank Architecture team, you'll ensure that solution architectures and designs align seamlessly with both bank and group architecture standards, driving innovation and efficiency across the organization.
What you’ll do:
- Maintain a broad understanding of business and technology capabilities across the group and provide strategic perspective to align bank architecture with business goals and initiatives.
- Ensure architecturally significant changes are captured and reflected in the Enterprise Architecture repository, while also maintaining consistency with bank domain and group architecture standards and roadmaps.
- Provide leadership by ensuring a clear understanding of business and technology strategies, promoting design for reuse, championing solution architecture, conducting peer reviews, and offering technical advice and mentoring to various stakeholders.
- Maintain a deep understanding of business and IT strategies, contribute to the development and alignment of the IT strategy, and engage in strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with business objectives and architectural principles.
- Assess the portfolio of work to ensure alignment with business strategies, identify opportunities for rationalization and reinvestment, and influence business decisions through socialization and engagement with stakeholders.
- Lead architecture process improvement initiatives, promote consistent architectural practices across the organization, and uplift architecture capability through training and development programs.
- Establish and maintain a network of stakeholders, foster an architecture community, and represent Suncorp in industry working groups to enhance the organization's profile and technical leadership.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Architectural certification such as TOGAF or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in IT architecture.
- Familiarity with ArchiMate, demonstrating a strong grasp of architectural modelling concepts.
- Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies, highlighting adaptability and efficiency in project execution.
- Desirable experience in insurance or financial services, showcasing understanding of sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
- A consulting background is advantageous, bringing diverse perspectives and problem-solving skills to the role.
