A terrific opportunity is available to join the Enterprise Architecture team at Suncorp Group, specifically aligned to the innovative Automation domain. You will be responsible for defining the target state and roadmap for our automation capabilities and guiding the realisation of that vision through solution architectures and designs, while ensuring consistency with domain and group architecture strategy and goals.

As a member of the Enterprise Architecture team, you will be exposed to a variety of exciting initiatives across automation and document management services, leveraging cloud services and data science, as well as the integration of those services with other group capabilities as we pursue our technology strategy.

Your energy, enthusiasm, and hands on approach will see you see you working with a variety of programs and project teams to provide technical advice, guidance and ensure effective architecture solutions are delivered and meeting the needs of the business.

What you'll do:

• Provide guidance and direction around technology impacts in implications of proposed business initiatives.
• Evolve a target state and roadmap for your aligned capabilities and ensure that individual initiatives are aligned with those strategic goals.
• Apply a commercial focus on all architecture work to ensure the desired business outcomes are met in a cost-effective way.
• Balance the need for consistent and accurate Enterprise Architecture with the need for rapid delivery in an Agile environment.
• Maintain detailed understanding of business and technology capabilities and initiatives within the assigned domain and their relationship to the wider group and technology strategy and goals.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to Project Managers, IT Managers and Business representatives.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to solution architects, technical leads, application system specialists, business & system analysts.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic vendors and partners.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in providing technical leadership across a large fleet of automations, and a large automation development practice is expected
• Extensive experience with automation platforms (such as UiPath) is expected
• Experience with enterprise workflow platforms and their integration with automations is highly desirable
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related disciplines, or equivalent.
• Architectural certification (e.g.TOGAF or other) is expected.
• Minimum 5 years IT Architecture experience.
• Familiarity with ArchiMate is highly desirable.
• Experience with Agile & Lean methodologies desired.
• Insurance or Financial services experience desired.
• Consulting background is advantageous.
