Enterprise Architect - NSW Government Department
- NSW Government Organisation – Sydney Olympic Park/Parramatta
- Initial assignment until 30/06/2026
- Pay rate: $1100 per day (including super)
- Drive strategy and the development and delivery of the Enterprise Architecture artefacts, inclusive of applications, integrations, infrastructure, and security) components for realisation of the strategy.
- Create and maintain the related architectural direction, standards, roadmaps, patterns and methodologies for all related business solutions and technologies.
- Develop the Enterprise Architectures including taking carriage of the applications, integrations, infrastructure and security, inclusive of cloud and network architecture service offerings
- Take carriage of and develop, and maintain the broader business applications and technology architecture portfolios, and define the strategies and roadmaps transformational activities and implementation of inter-related IT projects
- Consolidate and simplify the technical debt and the various application and technology portfolios
- Monitor, review and report to the stakeholders and customers on EA and IT project delivery against agreed commitments and adjust activities as necessary
- Establish and maintain Enterprise Architecture and related artefacts in enterprise tooling environments, such as System Architect, SPARX Enterprise Architect, ARIS, Nintex, iServer, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge of TOGAF (certification in TOGAF is highly preferable 15+ years’ experience in the IT industry with the last 10+ years’ working in the role of an Enterprise Architect or similar capacity
- 10+ years’ experience in defining applications, integrations, infrastructure, cloud and network architectures
- Proven experience in building technology roadmaps supporting transformation activities and implementation of IT major projects of work and project initiatives
- Proven experience in applications and technology infrastructure and network services management for defining technology related taxonomies and including integrations, migrations, and transformation practices
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal communications as well as visualisations
- Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
- Team player and is able to work effectively at all levels
- Strong negotiation and consensus-building skills
