Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Support the development of revisions to Operations Environmental Plans as the line environmental advisor working with operations teams and the EP delivery team/consultants in delivery the approvals.
- Assist the delivery of the operations environment work plan. Display ownership in the planning, coordination and delivery of risk and Management of Change assessment processes and our environmental approvals, e.g. Basis Of Assessments, spill modelling input assumptions, Facility Descriptions and Major Environment Event (MEE) registers.
- Seek out and help implement productivity and quality improvements to environmental compliance processes and to increase the efficiency and accuracy of environmental data reporting processes
- Undertake internal environmental inspections and support external inspections and audits.
- Coordinate asset risk identification and management documentation updates,
- Tracking and advising on environmental compliance requirements and undertaking associated environmental reporting activities
Requirements
- Understanding and experience with Australian environment legislation and application
- Experience in developing Offshore Environment Plans.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Managing change initiatives in line with local cultural, social and regulatory conditions.
- Bachelor degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Risk Management or a relevant degree
- A perspective and understanding of offshore oil and gas operations
- Knowledge of the Australian environmental regulatory requirements, experience with environmental impact and risk assessments and project execution in Australia is strongly preferred.
