Reporting to the Environment & Community Superintendent this role will provide professional and technical support in relation to the effective management of environmental obligations and community relations, including:
- Conduct environmental monitoring activities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Continuously develop, improve, and update the Environmental Management System (EMS) and associated documentation/records.
- Complete and submit annual environmental reports, such as National Pollutant Inventory (NPI), National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme (NGERS), Groundwater reports, and others as required.
- Provide professional guidance and support to the organisation on Environment and Community matters.
- Proactively engage with community members and stakeholders to build strong relationships.
- Facilitate the annual Community Support Program to promote community involvement and initiatives.
- Assist site management in fostering a safe and productive work environment.
About You:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Environmental Science, Management or Engineering (or equivalent)
- Current Driver’s licence
- Experience in a professional environmental role
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, standards and management systems
- Strong communication and relationship building skills are essential
- Strong technical background in the areas of environmental monitoring, data management and reporting, including surface water, groundwater, air, noise and/or blast monitoring
