Environmental Consultants
Casual positions: $50 - $70 per hour

The Role
We are seeking experienced casual Environmental Consultants to join our evolving team.
Remuneration will be based on demonstrated experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Undertaking field and desktop based environmental research
- Undertaking botanical surveys and ethno-botanical surveys with Umanity Group Anthropologists
- High level report writing
- Critical analysis and peer review of environmental assessments, reports and recommendations
- Preparing all relevant GIS files and maps for reporting and interpretation purposes
- Under direction from management, liaise with external clients, stakeholders and Government departments in a timely and professional manner
- Any other duties requested by management as required
It is expected you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines
- Demonstrated experience working with and communicating with Aboriginal people
- A high level of physical fitness, enjoy working in the outdoors and have the availability and flexibility to travel and work in remote and isolated locations
- Proficiency in the use of QGIS, including mapping and data analytics
- Proficiency in the use of Garmin GPS
- Demonstrated understanding and implementation of all applicable environmental legislation
- Demonstrated skills in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of records, maintaining proper documentation
- Demonstrated high level attention to detail, with excellent report writing skills
- A demonstrated ability to comply with set policies and procedures and to apply initiative to improve these where required and as approved by management
- Highly developed organisational skills including the ability to plan and coordinate workloads to achieve goals and meet deadlines under pressure
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and independently
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective and efficient administrative systems and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, establish priorities, use initiative and be proactive in raising and dealing with issues
- The ability to undertake and pass health and drug/alcohol screening
- The ability to provide a National Police Clearance
