The Position

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer to join our team of dedicated Environmental Health professionals. The successful applicant will be a strong team player, willing to work on a wide range of Environmental Health issues in a co-operative work environment. We are looking for an Environmental Health Officer with:

  • Bachelor of Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent acceptable to the Chief Health Officer (WA). Evidence of this qualification will be required.
  • Eligibility to be approved as an authorised officer (noise) under the provisions of the Environmental Protection Act.
  • Good knowledge of statutory requirements relevant to public health and environmental protection including the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act and associated Regulations; the Food Act and Food Safety Standards; the Environmental Protection Act and the Noise Regulations.

Salary: $86,857 – $109,636 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

Hours: The City of Cockburn is a flexible workplace. This full-time role is offering a 9-day (76 hour) fortnight.
