About the Role
The Shire of Murray, a progressive organisation located in Pinjarra, is seeking a dedicated and results-orientated professional with experience in Environmental Health and Local Government practices.
Reporting to the Manager Environmental Health, you will be responsible for ensuring Council’s obligations and statutory functions relating to Environmental Health are carried out in a professional and efficient manner in accordance with relevant policies and legislation.
Critical to the role will be the capacity to engage in a positive manner with ratepayers and the general public to answer enquiries and resolve Environmental Health matters in a timely manner.
The position on offer is a full-time position, working 76 hours across a 9-day fortnight. An EBA Level 6/7 salary of between $78,294.98 - $89,686.04 per annum will be offered dependent upon skills and experience.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health and/or extensive experience in a similar role. Sound knowledge of Local Government processes, legislation, and compliance will assist. Good judgement, comprehension and interpersonal skills are essential. Graduates are welcome to apply.
