As a Environmental Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring environmental management and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Auditing, amending and implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plans
- Providing sound and timely technical advice, training and assistance to the project
- Reviewing the Environmental Design Deliverables for the Work Packages
- Prepare monthly environmental reports.
- Maintaining a positive and outcome driven relationship with the client and other sub-contractors
- Participating in internal and external Audits
- Participating in key multi-disciplinary review, planning and construction meetings
- Coordination of technical deliverables associated with matters such as contaminated land, PFAS, erosion and sediment control
- Undertaking field inspections and audits on environmental performance criteria, compliance and defects and responding to Incidents
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or similar qualification in Environmental Management
- Substantial experience in a supervisory environmental function of large teams within a relevant industry
- Good understanding of operational functions within a relevant industry
- Good understanding of Queensland environmental legislations and frameworks
- High level report writing skills
- Substantial experience in undertaking environmental audits, inspections, and investigations, with formal audit and investigation qualifications highly desirable
