The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) in Western Australia is calling on passionate individuals to join our mission. As the Environmental Officer- NPI Program Data Analyst, you'll play a vital role in managing National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) data, ensuring integrity and contributing to innovative environmental programs.

This is a full-time fixed term opportunity for a period of 2 years with possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Environmental Officer- NPI Program Data Analyst contributes to the management of National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) data from industry and pollutant emission studies, ensures data integrity is maintained according to State and Federal NPI guidelines and principles, and assists with implementing enhancements to NPI reporting processes and data management.

This position contributes to developing, maintaining and updating data collection and emission estimation processes and undertaking scientific investigations to provide information necessary for diffuse emission inventory studies in Western Australia. It also assists with the optimisation of Program Data collection and management processes.

In addition, the Environmental Officer- NPI Program Data Analyst, effectively and efficiently implements environmental programs implemented by the wider Programs section and applies innovative approaches to developing new programs as required.
