Looking to establish, or further your career in the Wind Energy sector?
Do you want to be visible, and recognised for your effort and initiative?

If these questions resonate with you, and you are a motivated and ambitious individual, then please believe me when I say, this role is literally a once in a lifetime career opportunity.
My client are a genuine global leading Wind Turbine OEM providing complete sustainable energy solutions, with a reputation for engineering excellence driving innovation, quality, reliability, and service. They are on an exciting and rapid growth trajectory, driven by positive market forces in the renewable energy sector, defining their strategy to expand an already significant presence in the Australian Wind Energy market.
They are looking to create something a little different from the ordinary, where every team member has the opportunity to develop their own career path, through individual contribution, as well as being an integral part of the team. Their cultural foundations are formed around enthusiasm, positive energy, communication, development, and learning as well as an absolute passion for a sustainable future through delivering exceptional service that drives success.
As the Leader of the Environmental Planning function, your remit is quite simple; provide environmental leadership to ensure compliance to contractual needs of the clients, legislative requirements, and the in-house Management System. Critical to this, will be your effectiveness in leading and managing the current site based environmental teams to deliver high quality service, as will be your ability build the team across the country as new projects move into construction phase.
Whilst discussing the requirements of the role with the Manager, he had a very clear message for me; that the successful candidate must take control of the function and be willing to own the role. It is critical to ensure the Project and Construction teams have the resources, and support to comply with the Construction Environmental Management Plan. Being the point of contact for the PMO and CMO as well as clients, sub-contractors, and regulators for all environmental matters.
You must possess broad and deep technical knowledge, combined with exceptional relationship building and communication skills. He added that is an expectation that you will continually develop the Environmental Management System both in process and documentation to “best practice” levels, ensuring effectiveness in support of the up-coming growth.
.
What I am looking for in the successful candidate will be an uncompromising professional attitude with a focus on quality output; someone who communicates effectively at all levels, combined with a pragmatic style, someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to get things done. You must also be comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity, able to think outside of the square to create solutions, and not driven by the need to receive constant management direction.
Your success is defined by the application of advanced influencing skills, combined with your ability to form strong professional relationships, both internally and externally. This is reinforced by your strong attention to detail, highly organised approach, and natural ability to work in a high paced, complex environment, handling multiple competing priorities.
You have developed your career through the Environmental Planning stream with at least 5-7 years gained in the wind farm, or aligned large scale infrastructure projects. Due to the level of this role, we are looking for tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering/Science as well as a current White Card or equivalent.
It is a requirement that you travel to site on a regular basis approx. 1 - 2 weeks per month in support of the team and advancement of projects.
