About the Role
The Environmental Services Manager will be accountable for ensuring strict hygiene, infection control and OH&S standards are maintained within the hospital.
This is a key leadership position and will see you oversee the efficient and effective use of human and financial resources to ensure positive outcomes and customer service are achieved in line with statutory regulations.
Reporting to the Hospitality Services Manager you will supervise the Environmental Services team and be involved in the delivery of onboarding and training of new and existing employees as such, it will be integral you stay informed and up to date with hospital policies, procedures and initiatives.
Your Key Skills and Experience
- Leadership experience within a hospital/health care environment with knowledge of clinical waste management.
- Ability to lead, motivate and positively influence others to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a large team across a busy and complex operation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Be confident in taking responsibility for guiding the strategies, policies and processes implemented in the department.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts over a 7-day period.
- Intermediate computer skills
- Hold or working towards a tertiary management qualification is desirable but not essential
