Access theThis temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.About the Role:The North Coast Region is seeking a Principal Advisor - Education Services to provide high-level oversight and leadership of the Student Child and Family Connect team.You will have experience applying legislative frameworks, policies and procedures and best-practice or the ability to rapidly acquire an understanding of the same to apply in an educational context. You will have leadership experience and the ability to provide high level advice and support to school and Regional leadership teams.You will:
- Have an understanding of the mechanisms and frameworks to support families and young people with complex needs
- Provide strategic oversight and support of a broad range of engagement programs including the Education Justice Initiative, Regional Youth Engagement Service and Regional Youth Support Coordinator Initiative
- Promote/maintain engagement with key government and community partners including Child Safety, QPS and Youth Justice
- Utilise regional data sets and develop engagement initiatives to address gaps/trends in Early School Leavers and disengaged/Inactive students
- Attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant work history)
