Hospitals expect to provide patients with an up-to-date list of medications on discharge. It is an expectation of hospital operators that pharmacists will identify patients with complex medication regimes, or high risk medications and provide them with clear information
Remote work
The creation of cloud based messaging and record tools can mean that coding of medication list data for patients can occur off-site from health care facilities. Zepli has created a number of tools to enhance the pharmacy space.
The use of these tools can enable remote work on both discharge and admission medication lists for patients.
Contract detail
This contract role is intended to commence the remote completion of discharge and admission medication lists for inpatients at separate hospitals. The contractor will be expected to give extensive feedback to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the medication list output. As such, systems, workflows and methods will be improved to create a scalable program.
The contractor will provide coding services for medication profiles on an ad-hoc basis. The rates and deadlines will be agreed and will include weekend and public holiday requests. Requests will be accompanied by a deadline so the contractor can choose to complete before that deadline.
Reports of work completed will be required. Product development suggestions and testing will be expected as the systems are improved.
Expected skills
1. Pharmacist of > 5 years, with hospital experience desirable.
2. Familiarity with the continuity of care expected between hospital and community.
3. Multifaceted computer skills for communication, documentation and analysis.
4. Competent with the use of My Health Record and electronic records in general.
Contractor requirements
1. AHPRA registration as a pharmacist
2. Responsible for insurances – workers compensation & professional indemnity
3. Provide own suitable computer equipment and reliable internet connection.
4. Compliance with data integrity, ethics and confidentiality expected from pharmacists and by health care institutions.
