Bannister Downs Dairy is a family operated, WA owned producer of high quality fresh milk products. With a state of the art facility there is currently an opportunity for a permanent full time Equipment Operator to join our team.
About the role
If you are willing to accept a high level of responsibility and demonstrate care and skill in maintaining equipment and the hygiene levels required for food safety, then this role could be well suited to you.
Your key duties will include the operation of filling machines to fill fresh milk, flavoured milks and cream each day.
Prior experience with equipment operation is useful but not essential as training is provided. Mechanical aptitude is a key skill for this role in order to be able to make appropriate decisions once operating independently.
Shifts start at 8.30am Mondays to Friday with permanent hours and on the job training is provided.
There is opportunity for additional responsibilities to be included in this role if you can demonstrate capability, reliability and care for what you do in your daily tasks.

Skills and experience
For this role the suitable candidate will need the following skills and key qualities -
-reliability and punctuality;
-a willingness to learn specific skills and procedures;
-attention to detail in order to make sure that all Food Safety requirements are met;
-the ability to communicate and co-operate well within a small team;
-prior experience with food preparation, quality systems or machine operation is advantageous;
-attention to detail and an understanding of record keeping for a food safety program is also advantageous.
