The ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency NV1 security clearance (must be an Australian citizen).
The Department is looking for the Configuration Officer who will actively work with product teams to coordinate and manage the delivery of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for all systems in support of the engineering framework. The Configuration and Technical Data Officer will also ensure data quality, integrity and security of configuration managed Technical Data throughout a products lifecycle in order to ensure a high-quality standard of deliverables.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the Technical Data Management Plan (TDMP) within the Engineering Management System (EMS) in support of the CMGR and DAAR
Collection and curation of Technical Data within Technical Data packs
Ensuring the correct storage of data for its security classification
Create and enforce Data Management Policy/Instructions (Governance)
Assist with identification of data management IT solutions
Enforcing rules and procedures for data sharing with members of the project and stakeholders.
Communication of complex technical and operational subjects into readily understandable concepts
Provide support to wider the Joint Project Team
Assume authority within the services as the custodian for all Technical Data relating to product baselines
Management of the Technical Library
Management Policy/instructions (Governance)
Report on Technical Data integrity and health
Produce and maintain Master Record Indexes (MRI)
Establish the Technical Data Tree (TDT) for each product stream
Support the Configuration Manager with the CCB and DRB activities, as directed.
Support the Deputy Chief Engineer in managing and completing of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) (Administrative)
Essential:
1. Proven experience as a Data Manager / Librarian
2. Experience with Configuration Management processes
3. Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
5. Excellent Communication and collaboration skills
Desirable:
Australian government experience.
