For over 30 years, the organisation has developed a name for quality delivery of infrastructure projects for government and commercial sector clients. Recent years have seen significant growth in the work coming from local government contracts as their reputation has grown. They are seeking an experienced Estimator to help continue growing the business to the next level.
Essential for your success in this role will be your industry knowledge and relationships that you've been building throughout your career. This role needs a combination of 'what you know' and 'who you know' as you'll be expected to give feedback to the team on what jobs to take on. Experience with Water/Sewer/Pump Station/Trenchless projects is essential. Please do not apply if you don't have this experience.

The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director (MD), your tasks and duties will include:
- Preparing project estimates, budgets, and working closely with the Project Managers, Construction Managers and Engineers
- Leveraging your industry knowledge, experience, and contacts to pursue upcoming projects/tenders and working with the MD & Projects team to identify appropriate opportunities - your knowledge of what projects to pursue is highly regarded and listened to
- Keeping pricing database up to date with pricing for materials, following first principles techniques, and leveraging the knowledge of your experienced colleagues
- Working with the Leadership team on plans for the strategy of the business and contributing your market knowledge
- Proactively communicating with your colleagues and keeping them informed on deadlines, providing timely quotes and ETAs
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Demonstrated success in Civil Engineering projects involving - Water/Sewer/Pumpstations/Trenchless - this is not negotiable
- Relevant Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying qualifications preferred along with strong technical skill/knowledge
- Excellent communication skills and strong prioritising skills to manage your time effectively
- Strong relationships within the industry/sector are regarded very favourably
- A friendly attitude, a desire to work with good people who have a sense of humour, and an eagerness to be a key player helping build a business through its next stage of growth
- Up to $160,000 + Super + Profit share bonus (salary negotiable depending upon experience)
- Being a key person in the growth strategy for the business, mentoring from highly experienced team members and the Managing Director
- Working with a business known for quality project delivery

- Solid pipeline of projects with local Government clients and Local Water Utilities (LWUs), as well as premier private/commercial sector clients
