About The Role:
Due to our ongoing expansion, we have a vacancy for high-achieving, trade-qualified carpenters to take a step off the tools and join our expert assessment/estimation team. Reporting to the estimation manager, you’ll be a knowledgeable self-starter, responsible for creating scope of works and causation reports. You will never be bored; no two jobs are the same. To help you make the transition to assessor/estimator, we’ll give those who require it ongoing training, plus we have a team of dedicated internal estimators who take care of all the pricing and submission of quotes.
As there is a lot of liaison with customers and so you’ll need good relationship-building, communication and problem-solving skills. As the face of our business, you’ll also need to uphold our professional, ethical and building standards. Because our clients have set time frames for quote life, in peak storm season you will be working in a fast-paced environment, attending numerous sites over a wide area. There are some quieter months so in these periods you can work more flexibly.

To Be Successful In This Role You Need:
- A trade qualification in carpentry or similar, and a track record of success. You’ll also demonstrate knowledge of industry costs and time frames required to generate a scope of works.
- Demonstrated achievement in any field.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, handle multiple projects at different locations (desirable) and creatively problem solve, in a fast-paced environment to meet critical deadlines.
- A track record in delivering safe outcomes, on-time and on-budget.
- Prior experience in estimating is advantageous but not essential (we can train you).
- Good communication skills and demonstrated success in developing and maintaining good relationships with past colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- A demonstrated commitment to continual improvement and learning.
