About Us
The Haematology Research Unit delivers Clinical Trials for Monash Health Haematology patients, ranging from Phase 1 to Phase 4 studies. We have in excess of 90 active clinical trials, and continue to grow in size. We are a dynamic unit and we pride ourselves in the quality of care we deliver to our patients.
About the Role
The purpose of the position is to effectively and efficiently facilitate the Governance and Ethical approval of clinical trials within the Haematology Research Unit during both the pre-approval phase and post-approval phase for each study. The successful applicant will ideally have experience in Human Clinical Research Ethics and Governances processes and have an in depth understanding of Good Clinical Practices as set out by the International Conference on Harmonisation. The Ethics Research Assistant works in conjunction with other members of the Haematology Research Unit. A strong collaboration between the unit, the trial sponsors, and Monash Health is required in planning and implementing trials to ensure the best possible care for trial patients.
This position is being offered as a full time position, however there is the potential for the position to be split into a part-time / job-share arrangement for suitable candidates. Please detail clearly in your application cover letter whether your application is for full time hours or for part-time, clearly specifying the number of days AND which week days you are available if applying for a part-time consideration. Please note that hours are expected to be worked within normal business hours Mon-Fri, after hours or weekend shifts are not a possibility. Once trained, there may be some capacity for a mix of onsite and remote working hours, however the role is primarily an onsite role.

- Experience in Ethics and Governance submissions for clinical trials is preferred.
