AusCycling is the nation’s peak riding and cycling body, representing more than 5 million Australians who ride bikes. Formed in 2020 from 19 state, territory, and national bodies, AusCycling is responsible for programs, projects and initiatives that encompass BMX, Track, Mountain Bike, Road, Para and recreational.
We help school kids learn to ride, we stage more than 500 events each year, we nurture clubs and create pathways, and we are responsible for the training, welfare, and performance of Australia’s Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth Games and World Championship athletes.

Team Purpose
AusCycling’s Sport Pillar oversees events and racing; workforce education and accreditation programs; competition rules and the State / Territory delivery network.
Position Purpose
The Event and State Operations Lead is responsible for delivering exception events and supporting event administration alongside supporting operations in Victoria across pathways and club development.
Responsibilities
This role works across State Operations and Road/ESport Events. The role is 50/50 between these two areas which is flexible based on demands of responsibilities (particularly events).
Event Management
- Lead the delivery of the ESport National Series and Championships
- Co-lead the delivery of the Junior and Masters National Championships.
- Support allocated events in the Victoria competition calendar.
- Where required, support the delivery of major, National or international events.
UCI Registration
- Lead registration process for UCI Teams.
Club & Workforce Support and Development (road and track)
- Under the direction of the State Operations Manager, build and maintain strong relationships with allocated clubs in Victoria.
- Directly supporting club development plans through the Club network – particularly supporting event delivery issues faced by clubs in Victoria.
- Showcase outstanding club achievement.
- Promote and encourage club involvement in AC and local government sport & recreation club initiatives.
- Support the implementation of AC programs and club development initiatives.
- Support clubs in their advocacy to local government.
Pathways
- Lead the administration of Victorian Teams, Squads or Academies.
Other
- Provide administrative support to the State Operations Manager - VIC/TAS as required.
- Contribute to the collection of data to support the measurement of key VIC Operational KPIs.
