Hello! We are The Event Space, and we have been waiting to meet you! A little bit about us: we like pina coladas and getting caught in rain… we’re not that into yoga and we need the organisational side of your brain! (Jokes – we do events so we hate the rain!).
We do all things events – mostly working in the wild, wild west that is retail. Our speciality is bringing big, crazy ideas to life – and we are pretty bloody good at it if we do say so ourselves. We love out of the box concepts, creative solutions and celebrating our wins.
And we really love logistics and organisation. Which is where you come in! We are searching someone eager to learn from the best in the biz. No experience needed – but a can do attitude and an ability to Get Things Done (some might say it’s your super power) are mandatory.
About You
You will love solving problems, and juggling multiple balls at once… and probably the Northern Beaches (our office is in Brookvale). You will be super organised and process driven… and not just someone who says that in a job interview.
You’ll have googled us, seen our insta and thought geeeezzzeee I’d love to get involved in this! You aren’t afraid to get deep into the admin side of Event Management. This role is the perfect mix of logistics, organisation (we’re talking risk assessments, compliance checks, booking crew etc) and playing tetris as you manage our bright and colourful (read: overflowing and chaotic) warehouse.
The specifics:
- This is an office admin role – working with the logistics team
- No experience necessary – We will provide all training
- The master of problem solving, super organised, able to prioritise, and willing to learn (cliché’s we know – but for a reason!)
- Absolutely a team player – willing and able to work with everyone in the business from the Director through to our Office Doggo Frank.
- Working from our office in Brookvale
About the Job
- Part time – three office days every week (we work 8:30am – 4:30pm but can be flexible for the right candidate!)
- 6 month Maternity Leave Cover contract.
- You will work directly with our Senior Logistics & Risk Manager to produce essential event documentation and procedures. He’s a GREAT guy (and no, he didn’t write this himself!)
- This is an office based admin role – you will be a gun at managing your own time and… essentially just *getting things done*
- You will be a key component of our Logistics Production Team
- Manage and keep our ‘colourful’ warehouse in some sort of order
- There is an opportunity to earn overtime with as much onsite event work as your heart desires (not required, just a little perk if you would like extra hours)
